This happened to us, my husband got this news in October, he will never be well again, he will never be able to work again. We have like most people a mortgage and bills to pay, without the two of us working we may have to sell the house. But we were smart or lucky enough to keep paying the life insurance premiums and even though times are tough you think it is a lot of money to find each month should we just cancel it? I'm glad we didn't !
I called Ben to tell him what happened. Ben could not have been more helpful, he clearly explained the process and what would be required by the insurance company. He helped with the forms, and once we had the Doctors letter and sent it to him, he submitted the claim, and followed up with the insurance company, as after all this was NOT a life insurance claim due to death, but for early release of the life insurance. A week later Ben called to let me know the claim was approved and funds would be in account in 2 days - and it was!

I’ve always been a loyal customer of my bank, my wife and I got our first mortgage together through them when we bought our first home, and like most people, we were strongly encouraged to take out their income and life insurance policies, at that time, it felt like the right thing to do.
For years after that, there was nothing. No meaningful contact, no check-ins, just the annual notice that our premiums had gone up in line with CPI. When I eventually tried to get some clarity on our policies, I found myself being passed around between departments the bank and their underwriter and getting nowhere.

He pursued it on my behalf and, to our complete surprise, secured a substantial payout, along with four years’ worth of refunded premiums. It was an unexpected but deeply appreciated outcome.
Ben’s professionalism, empathy, and relentless follow-through have been exceptional. He turned what was once a frustrating and impersonal experience into one built on trust and genuine care.
